Foelske, Ottelia F. (16 Augl 1858 - 7 Dec 1922)

Ottelia Fredericka Foelske, nee Kleist, was born Aug. 16, 1858 in Germany. In 1868 she and her parents came to America and settled at Port Washington, Wis., from there they moved to Trempealeau Co., where they spent a few years and then moved back to Waukesha Co. In 1884, March 18th, she was married to Mike Foelske and to this union two daughters and two sons were born.

In 1896 Mr. and Mrs. Foelske moved onto a farm in the town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis., where they lived until the lord called her away to a better home above on Dec. 7th, 1922. She died at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 21 days, and death was due to apoplexy. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, two daughters, Mrs. Will Litka, Mrs. Herman Litka, 2 sons, Albert on the farm and Otto at home, nine grandchildren, 1 sister, Mrs. Chas. Goecks, Hartford, Wis., three brothers, Albert Kleist, Tacoma, Wash., August of Gary, Indiana, and Otto of Oconomowoc, besides many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Foelske was a woman that was respected and loved by everyone and she will be missed by many and especially in the home circle.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at Loyal on Monday, Dec. 11th, Rev. W. F. Schuelke officiating. She was laid to rest in the Loyal Cemetery.

The relatives from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. Fred Foelske of Hartford, Mrs. Will Kliezene and Miss Ella Tesch of Hartford, Wis.
