OCT 1867 - 11 Dec 1922) August Foss died
at his home in the town of Brighton, Marathon Co. Monday morning
Dec. 11th, 1922 after a short illness of meningitis, at the age of
55 years. The deceased was born in Germany Oct. 3, 1867. Mr. Foss had lived
in the vicinity of Loyal, Clark County, Wis. until three years ago,
when he moved on a farm in the town of Brighton, where he resided
up to the time of his death. He was married March 15, 1894 to Miss
Julia Belonger at March Rapids, who with one son, Albert, survives
him. He is also survived by three brother, Otto of Pewaukee, Harry
and Max of Loyal, three sisters, Mrs. Henry Krause and Mrs. Albert
Schilling of Loyal and Mrs. John Connell of Waukesha. Funeral services
were held on Thursday afternoon from the M. J. Christenson home,
