TRIBUNE (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) 06/29/1922 Colby, Florence
(21 JUN 1922) Wednesday evening
at five-thirty June 21st, 1922, Mr. Martin Dahl of Strum, Wis., and
Miss Florence Colby of Crystal Lake, were united in marriage at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Colby on Caroline St., in the presence
of a small party of relatives and friends, among whom were Mr. and
Mrs. James R. Colby and Mrs. and Mrs. Raymond B. Colby of Loyal,
Clark County, Wis., Miss Marie Dahl of Hammond, Ind., W. H. Boone
of Imlay, Mich., and Walter Inger of Chicago, out of town
guests. The full Episcopal
service and ring ceremony were used, the Rev. H. D. Dick
officiating. Following the ceremony the party sat down to a
daintily prepared and delicious three course dinner, included in
which was a birthday cake, the event coming on Mr. Colby's
birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Dahl started on their honeymoon trip, taking
the 9:16 train for Chicago, a company of admiring and well-wishing
friends giving them an enthusiastic sendoff. Mrs. Dahl is a
graduate of the Loyal, Wis. High School, studied in Lawrence
College Observatory of Music, and is a graduate of the Oshkosh
Normal. She has made a large place for herself in our community and
church life, and will be missed. Mr. Dahl is a citizen of Strum,
Wis. He owns a farm near there, is a salesman and holds public
office. After their wedding trip they will take up their residence
at Strum. The heartiest good wishes of their many friends go with
them. (Crystal Lake
