Shumway, Charlotte E. (15 Jan. 1849 - 30 Aug. 1922)
Mrs. Charlotte E. Shumway died at her home in West Pine Valley August 30, 1922. She was born in Vermont, Jan. 15, 1849, and came to Newton, Wisconsin when a little girl. After acquiring an education she taught school till her marriage to Wm. P. Shumway of Genoa, Wis., Sept. 27, 1868. They made their home on a farm in Vernon County for several years, then moved to Ainsworth, Nebraska, on a homestead, where they lived for a few years. In 1890 they moved to their farm west of Neillsville which has been their home ever since. Mr. Shumway died six years ago last April.
She was a woman of fine qualities, keenly intelligent, devoted to her ***Rest of the obit was cut off.
