-Kelly, May (Marriage - 22 Aug. 1922)
Mr. Francis Barton and Miss May Kelly were married in the Catholic church at Iron River, Wis., Tuesday, Aug. 22. After the ceremony they went to the home of the groom’s brother, Jule Barton, at Iron Mountain where a bountiful dinner was served; from there they went to Chicago and other points, arriving here Monday for a visit at the home of the groom’s mother, Mrs. Wm. Barton, and with other relatives and friends here, expecting to leave the latter part of the week for Iron River where they will begin housekeeping at once in their home which is already furnished.
The groom grew to manhood here, learned the barbers’ trade and went to Iron River about 6 years ago. He enlisted in the service and made a fine record as a soldier, being over seas more then a year. Returning to Iron River he resumed his work and is doing well. He is a young man of high character and has many friends.
The bride was a teacher in the Lincoln School of Iron River, a young lady of fine personality and education.
Neillsville friends will join with their well-wishers at Iron River in congratulations and hope for a happy future.
