White, Mrs. Wm. D. (11 Dec. 1845 - 10 Dec. 1922)
Mrs. Wm. D. White died at her home in Neillsville Dec. 10, 1922, following a stroke of apoplexy a short time previously. Mrs. White had arrived at the advanced age of 77 years. She was born at Syracuse, New York, Dec. 11, 1845, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Pitcher, who in later life lived for many years in this city. She was married in 1867 to Isaac Jenkins and moved to Clark County the same year. To them one son was born in 1871, I. N. Jenkins. The father died July 12, 1872. On Dec. 11, 1878, Mrs. Jenkins was married to Wm. D. White. They lived for many years on their farm in Pine Valley, where Mr. White died a number of years ago. There are four children of the second family, Minnie Mirtil White, Wm. H. White, Charles J. White and Mrs. Florence Viola Lipkie, all of this city of Neillsville. Mrs. White was a woman of great kindness of heart. In the home and community she was always ready and willing to be of service to those about her and never spared her own strength and comfort to help others. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist Church at 2 o’clock, Rev. W. T. Scott officiating.
