Wegner, Anna Louise Wilhelmina (7 Aug. 1870 - 9 Feb. 1923)

Mrs. Carl Wegner died at her home in the town of Weston Feb. 9, 1923, after a long illness. Her age was 52 years, 6 months and 2 days. Anna Louise Wilhelmina Lang, daughter of Carl and Louise (Lenskow) Lang was born in Stetting, Pommern, Germany, Aug. 7, 1870. With her parents she came to America in 1881, settling at Watertown, Wis., where they lived a short time. Then they moved to Clark County, living for a time on a farm, later moving to Neillsville. The mother died in 1888. From this time on she staid with her father in Neillsville, until her marriage with Carl Wegner, Oct. 20, 1891. The young couple them moved on a farm, taking the father with them. There she did well her pat in establishing to new home, and caring for her family. To Mr. and Mrs. Wegner were born five children, four of whom are living: Mrs. Elsie Schlinkert, Mrs. Margaret Westphal, Mrs. Minnie Kalsow, and Walter Wegner. Beside the husband and children there are eight grandchildren, Victor, Helen and Edna Schlinkert, Edna, Harry, Willie and Marion Westphal and Donald Kalsow; also a niece, Gertrude Lang, the daughter of her brother, August Lang, who when 3 years old at the death of her mother, found a home with Mr. and Mrs. Wegner where she was reared as one of the family. Mrs. Wegner leaves three brothers, August Lang in Oregon, Charles Land, Fresno, Cal., and Frank Lang, town of Seif.

The funeral was held at Globe Lutheran church Tuesday, Rev. Parisius officiating.
