Hanson, Andrew (1847 - 14 Feb. 1923)
Andrew Hanson, a retired farmer and old resident of this locality died at his home on Wednesday, Feb. 14 aged 76 years. He was born in Norway where he grew to manhood and was there married 50 years ago last summer to Caroline Warlum. Five years after their marriage they came to America and took a homestead in Coon Valley, LaCrosse county.
About 31 years ago they came to Neillsville, where Mr. Hanson worked for some time in Hein’s mill, and later engaged in farming east of the city for several years, until a few years ago when he retired. He was a man of industrious habits and upright character, and a good citizen in every way.
He is survived by his wife and four sons: Carl of Eau Claire, Oscar of Minneapolis, Rudolph of LaCrosse and Henry of Eau Claire, all of whom were here for the funeral which was held Saturday forenoon at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. Aaberg of Greenwood officiating.
