Bailey, A. W. (3 April 1923; 90th Birthday)
Tuesday afternoon a number of (cut off) Mrs. A. W. Bailey’s friends gathered at the R. F. Kountz residence where Mrs. Bailey makes her home, to help her celebrate her ninetieth birthday. Mrs. Bailey was born at Orange, New Hampshire April 3, 1833. She grew to womanhood there and was there married to A. W. Bailey. In 1867 they went west, staying one summer in Kansas, but not liking the country they came to Black River Falls, living there till 1871 when they moved to Greenwood which was their home for many years. After Mr. Bailey’s death, his wife went west to live with her son, Bert. He died about four years ago and she came here to live with her daughter, Mrs. Kountz, wh---out offis since deceased. She has outlived all her children, but is tenderly cared for by her granddaughter, Kitti Kountz, and her father.
Mrs. Bailey is keen and alert in -rest is cut off.
