Leichtnam, Donald L. (28 June 1920-28 Mar 1975)
Donald L. Leichtnam, 54, Colby, died Friday at a Marshfield hospital. Services
will be held Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. The Rev. Robin O. Fink will
officiate and burial will be in the Abbotsford Cemetery. Friends May call at the
Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.
Mr. Leichtnam was born June 28, 1920, in the Town of Hull. He married the former
Juanita Schultz on March 12, 1946, in Rochester, Minnesota. He was a life member
of VFW Post 2227 in Colby, serving as past post commander and Seventh District
commander. He was a former member of the Colby Lions Club and Chamber of
Commerce. He had operated a bowling alley and the North Side Bar in Colby and
was employed by Colby High School. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors, besides his wife, include a son, Donald, at Home; three daughters,
Mrs. Allen Kaatz, Freemont, Mrs. August (Nancy) Neider, Marshfield and Laurie,
at home; two brothers, Byron, Dorchester, and Jack, West Allis; two sisters,
Mrs. Marvin Lang, Milwaukee, and Mrs. John Miler, Appleton, and six
grandchildren.
