York, Wisconsin, August 28, 1893

Mrs. I. Fulwiler and son visited relatives at Marshfield last Monday. Dan Demming went to Augusta last week on business. Joe Piper, who has spent several years in the far West, has returned to York. Sidney Davis of Minneapolis, is the guest of his father. Emil Krause is building a handsome new residence. A.P. Fulwiler and best girl went to Spokeville Sunday. A number from this place attended camp meeting at the brick school house in the Town of Loyal yesterday. Herb Visgar and Joe Lastofka took in the ball game at Neillsville Sunday. There will be an ice cream social at the residence of Walter Graves, Tuesday evening, September 5th.

ROXY

Ella Lindsley commenced her term of school in District No. 2 last week. William Lawrence of Plymouth, was here last week on a visit to relatives. Mrs. A. Turner is report quite ill. Mrs. Alice Kymer and daughter are here on a visit to her parents. George Rowe and wife intend starting for Washington and Sheboygan Counties on a visit to friends and relatives. John Vandeberg is building a new granary, which will improve the looks of his place. Farmers in this vicinity have commenced their fall plowing. E.M. Rowe went to Neillsville on business Monday. L. Mack is reported on the sick list. Mrs. E.M. Lawrence has purchased a new carriage.
