York, Wisconsin: September 11, 1893

The ice cream social held last Tuesday evening at Walter Graves' was a success. Mrs. L. Nichols started last Tuesday morning for a visit to friends and relatives in York State. Mrs. A.W. Hales and Lois Fulwiler visited at Chili last Tuesday. E.H. Lindsley started Tuesday for Hudson to attend conference. Sylvester Pease is reported quite ill. Bertha Hallock opens her school in District No. 3. Monday. Burton Lawrence spent Sunday with his sister, Mrs. John Vandeberg. Herb Gibson and best girl went to Neillsville Sunday evening. A number of our sportsmen intend starting north on a hunting expedition soon.
