(Neillsville, Wis.) 09/28/1893 York, Wisconsin: September 25,
1893 Mrs. Walter Lawrence left last
Tuesday for Dakota, where she was called by the severe illness of her mother. The
welcome shower came last Monday and just ask Walter Rowe how he enjoyed it. Elmer
Redmond has a sister from Maine visiting him. Oliver Chase has returned from Minnesota
where he has spent sometime. Les Mack and wife visited friends in the vicinity of
Granton last Wednesday. S.W. Bolton and wife started on a visit to Humbird last
Saturday but were obligated to turn back on account of the forest fires. George
Lindsley took in the sights at Neillsville Monday last. Fred Benedict, of Chili,
came home Sunday to see his best girl. W.C. Fulwiler shot a peculiar bird last week.
It weighed about three pounds, had a long bill and claws; in color it was black
shading down to slate color, otherwise it resembles a partridge. Rev. Ford will
leave this week and Rev. Hoffman will occupy the pulpit at this place. ROXY © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
