York, Wisconsin: November 20, 1893
John Ebbe had the misfortune to get one of his fingers in contact with a knife in a feed cutter, and the result is, he's minus the finger. Sam Gibson and wife visited with Mrs. G's parents, who reside near Heathville, Tuesday. C.H. Benedict is at Rhinelander, where he contemplates spending the winter. Jay Page, of Northern Wisconsin, is visiting with his parents. A.P. Fulwiler and H.F. Gibson went to Lynn Tuesday on business. The young people of this place gathered at the home of Frank Snyder Thursday evening in his honor. All present enjoyed themselves to the greatest extent. Mrs. George Harlow, of Greenwood, visited with friends at this place last week. Miss Belle Meeks, of Alma Center, visited with friends at this place last week. George Rowe and wife returned Thursday from an extended visit to Washington and Sheboygan Counties. Miss Letty Hanes, of New York, is the guest of Sol. Hanes and wife. She intends to spend the winter here. Mr. and Mrs. Graves of Iowa, are visiting their son Walter at this place. Rev. Hoffman exchanged pulpits with Rev. Sweet, who gave the people at Wilcox a very fine sermon. Chauncey Fowler will again open school in the Dwyer district today.
