George Johnson and family, of Milbank, Dakota, are visiting with relatives and friends at this place. Ed T. Bailey and wife left last Tuesday for Woodruff to visit with relatives. S.L. Drake and wife and F.W. Davis, of Granton, were welcome callers at Wilcox Monday. A contagious epidemic is raging in the western part of the town. Rev. and Mrs. E.H. Lindsley, of Pittsville, spent Thanksgiving with their parents. Mr. Pettit, of Dorchester, is the guest of William Mortimer and wife. Among those on the sick list are C.H. Ebbe, Mrs. Willis Whalen and Willie Livingston. Several of our young ladies came out in Esquimaux style last Thursday evening. Miss Jennie Rowe was hit in the face last Thursday with a hard snow ball which inflicted a very painful wound. Boys should be just a little more careful how they treat their lady friends. Al Turner starts for the woods today. Al is popular and we are sorry that he to be out of our midst so long. C.F. Vick has received two full blooded Poland China hogs. Mr. Vick is an industrious farmer and stock raiser and we wish him success. Turkeys seemed to be very scarce Thanksgiving Day.
