COUNTY HERALD (Dorchester, WI) 02/21/1908 Robe, Herman (06
Mar 1840 - 24 Jan 1908) Many of our
readers will be shocked when they read these few lines of the
sudden death of Herman Robe, a former resident of Town Holton. The deceased was
born in Schleffin, Germany, March 6, 1840 and came to America in
1871 and settled on a farm in town Holton in 1881 where he stayed
until 1906 when he moved to Chehalis, Wash. He has been in poor
health for the past five years and finally he got heart disease and
dropsy from the effects of which he died on Jan. 24 at the age of
67. He was buried Jan. 27 in Washington Lawn cemetery at Centralia,
Wash. He leaves a wife, five daughters and one son to mourn his
death. His wife and one daughter live in Medford, Wis., three
daughters in Wash., and one daughter and one son at Butternutt,
