MAR 1852 - 12 Sep 1923) Lyman Tracy, a
pioneer of Clark County, died suddenly of apoplexy at his home in
Red Wing, Minn., Sept. 12, 1923, at the age of 71 years. Deceased
was born at Johnson's Creek, Jefferson Co., Wis., March 31, 1852,
to Wm. and Laura Tracey and came with his parents to Clark County,
Wis. in 1866, moving across country with an ox team, settling on a
farm in the town of Weston. Mr. Tracey was
married July 5, 1874 to Margaret E. Hyslip, and to this union
thirteen children were born, nine of whom, with they mother,
survive, namely, Mrs. Mark Chadwick, Greenwood; Mrs. Frank Wheeler,
Thorp; Homer Tracy, Ellsworth; Mrs. H. A. Beardsley, Ellsworth;
Mrs. E. G. Druding, Ellsworth; Bernard Tracy, Prescott; Wm. Tracy,
Minneapolis; Inez Tracy, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Robert Tracy at
home. The funeral was
held from the Presbyterian church in Ellsworth Saturday afternoon,
