DEC 1923) Miss Elnora Winter, daughter of
Henry Winter of the town of Lynn, Clark County, Wis., died at her home Wednesday,
Dec. 12, 1923, after an illness extending over two years. Since September of this
year she had been confined to her bed. Her death was due to tuberculosis. Elnora, daughter of Henry and Lydia
Winter, was born in the town of Lynn Oct. 13, 1902 and lived there all her life.
Hers was a beautiful and helpful life in the home and the community, and she will
be greatly missed and mourned by all who knew her. Her mother died about 5 years
ago, leaving considerable responsibility in the home upon Elnora; then came her
own illness, which gradually took her strength and finally her life. She leaves
to mourn her early death, her father, four sisters and three brothers; Mrs. Herman
Gluch of the town of Grant; Mrs. Fred Brochert of Milwaukee; Norma and Ruth at home;
the three brothers are Louis, Arno and Cilon, all at home. The funeral was held Saturday at
Zion Lutheran Church in Grant, Rev. Reiff officiating. The large gathering of friends
who attended testified to the love held for the deceased by the people of the community.
The pallbearers were Alfred Moldenhauer, Walter Roder, Paul Krause, Arnold and Walter
Sternitzky. Burial took place in the cemetery beside her mother who had gone before. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
