(Contributed Obit )

Rudolph Spranger passed away at his home Friday afternoon at 1:30, after a lingering of many months with cancer. He was born April 5, 1848, in Germany and came to America 40 years ago the 6th of May. He worked for three years in Minnesota and in camps, and earned money enough to bring his father and mother to this country. They settled in the town of Weston where he lived until his death. He was married to Marie Kranz April 7th and to this union 10 children were born, of whom the following survive to mourn his death: Louise, Martha, Gerhardt and Martha Spranger at home; Minnie, Mrs. Chas. White: Dorothy, Mrs. R. Dillenbeck; Jennie, Mrs. H. Schoenwetter. He was 70 years, 1 month and 5 days of age. He was a kind husband and a loving father. During his long and painful illness he never complained.

A loved one from us was taken, A place that can never be filled, But God knew best and took him to a land, Where we hope to meet again. Father dear, we won’t forget you. Our hearts are heavy with sorrow but we know the beloved Father knows best. It is hard to stay here since you are gone. We will miss your kinds words that we heard each day, but we hope to met you in Paradise.
