Mr. Urban Smith of Marshfield and Miss Elva Rose of Granton were united in marriage at 8 o’clock Friday evening, June 1, 1923, at the Presbyterian Manse in Neillsville, Rev. Donnell officiating. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Smith of Granton, the former being a brother of the groom. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank X. Smith of the town of Lynn. He is a barber by trade, and is employed in Marshfield. He is a young man of fine personality and good habits. He is very highly spoken of by all who know him. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rose of Granton. She graduated from the teachers training course in Neillsville high school in 1919 and has since taught very successfully in the schools of this county. She has a large circle of friends not only in Granton, but also in Neillsville and the country around, among the former schoolmates, and the patrons and pupils where she has taught.
The young couple will live in Marshfield and with them will go the best wishes of all who know them.
