BUEHLER RIEMANN ----Source:
NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 09/06/1923 Borde, Viola (2
SEP 1923) Sunday evening,
Sept. 2, 1923, at seven o'clock, St. John's Lutheran Church in this
city was the scene of a very pretty wedding, when Mr. John Buehler
of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Miss Viola Borde of Pine Valley, Clark
County, Wis., were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, Rev. H.
Brandt officiating. Mr. Walter Borde, brother of the bride, was
groomsman and Miss Dorothy Riemann, her cousin of Eau Claire, was
bridesmaid. Prof. Gilbert, Glaeser of St. John's Lutheran School,
and church organist, played the wedding march on the pipe organ and
the choir sang appropriate selections. The church was handsomely
decorated with autumn flowers. The bride wore a
beautiful dress of white silk, with a veil, and carried a bridal
bouquet. After the ceremony a bounteous wedding supper was served
at the home of the bride's parents, only relatives and near friends
being in attendance. The bride is the
only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Borde and is a young lady who is
very much liked in this community by all who know her. She grew to
womanhood here, was educated at St. John's Lutheran School, and
except for some time spent at Crystal Lake, Ill., where she had a
position in a store, she lived at home with her parents. She has
had such instruction and training in her home as will well fit her
for the duties of a new home. The groom is a stranger to many
people here, but he is a fine appearing young man and is highly
spoken of by those who know him. He is a carpenter by trade and is
said to be an industrious and efficient workman. After a few weeks
stay at the Borde home, the groom assisting with fall work, the
young couple will return to Crystal Lake, where they expect to make
their home. The best wishes of the people here go with this fine
young couple. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
