Fordebrueck, Mamie (7 April 1886 - 25 July 1923)
Mrs. John Forebrueck died after a lingering illness, Wednesday, July 25, at about noon. For the past five weeks she was being cared for at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kessler, in Pine Valley. About two years ago she underwent a severe operation for stone in the kidney, and for a time was much better, but since last November she has been an invalid.
Mamie Kessler was born at Festina, Iowa, April 7, 1886. She grew to womanhood there and in 1905 she was married to John Fordebrueck at Ft. Atkinson, Iowa. They lived in Iowa till 1911 when they came to Clark County and settled in the town of Weston where they live till 1918 when they moved to Marshfield which has been their home since. She was a lady that was very much liked by all who knew her here and the deepest sympathy is felt for the bereaved husband and children and also for her parents, brothers and sisters.
She leaves motherless five children: Oliva, Leonard, Vera, Uletta and Thelia. Besides these children, her husband and parents, she leaves three brothers and three sisters to mourn, her death.
The funeral was held Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic school building, Rev. P. Weber officiating.
