MISS HAMMOND WILL VISIT EUROPE
Miss Ellen Hammond, who has charge of the Teachers Training Course in Neillsville high school is planning on a tour of Europe soon after school closes. The trip will include a visit to Scotland, England, France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Italy, the Austrian Tyrol and Germany. She will sail from Montreal, Canada, June 17, in the Steamship Tunisian, and will be due to land in Glasgow June 25. After visiting many places of historic and literary interest in Scotland and England, she will spend several days in Paris, followed by a trip through the battlefields of Flanders, through Belgium and Holland, a boat trip on the Rhine, a coaching trip, sail on the lakes and mountain climbing in Switzerland; thence to Italy to see Naples, ascend Mt. Vesuvius; thence to Rome, Florence and Venice, and to Innsbruck in the Tyrol. A drive through Munich, visiting the museums and art galleries. One of the most important objectives of the trip then comes in attendance at the Passion Play at Oberammergau; following which she will visit Nurnberg, Dresden, Leipsic, Berlin, Weimar and Bremen, whence she expects to sail for home on Aug. 26.
Miss Hammond will doubtless bring back a vast fund of information that will be of great value to the students of Neillsville high school next year.
