Sereno Wren recently received a letter from Fred Vunk of Vancouver, Washington, which must certainly have give him great joy. Mr. Vunk left here for the west 46 years ago. When a young fellow he made his home with Mr. Wren and has come in later years to be very thankful for the kind treatment he received. Last month he met Marion Wren, a son of Sereno Wren, in Portland and from him got Mr. Wren’s address. He says in part: "It has been over 46 years since I say you and I thought I would write and thank you from the bottom of my heart for the many kind favors you have shown me in the past. You were always ready to help me and give me a home, and you never gave me a cross word, though I mush have been very aggravating at that age, 13 years and up, but in all that time you never lost patience with me."
