Knopp, Louisa (15 Oct 1811 - 17 Apr 1908)

Mrs. Louisa Knopp, almost one hundred years old, died on Good Friday at her little home three miles east of town. She was born in Brummstidt, Pomerania, Germany on Oct. 15, 1811. Her husband died over forty years ago. In 1873 she came to America with her children and lived at Milwaukee three years and then moved to town Holton. She was 96 years, 5 months, and 28 days of age. She leaves 2 sons, 3 daughters, 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was buried Monday afternoon after brief services at St. Peter’s Lutheran church, Rev. Moecker officiating.
