Noticed your post. I'm the great grandson of the seller. I plan to be traveling through the area in June (from Phoenix), and I was wondering how to find the site. Also wondering if the site of Gus Schmidt's homestead in Thorp (circa 1903) could be located. My great great grandfather Christof Burkhardt (veteran of Chancellorsville; 26th Wisconsin) died there on 4/14/03. Any ideas where I might look for clues?
