NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 07/03/1924 Wegner, Louise (17
MAR 1863 - 27 JUN 1924) Mrs. August Wegner
died at her home in Pine Valley June 27, 1924, after a lingering
illness. Mrs. Wegner, whose
maiden name was Louse Hemp, was born in the Province of
Brandenburg, Germany, March 17, 1863. She came with her family to
the U. S. in 1871. They settled near Watertown, Wis., where they
lived until 1875, when they moved to the town of Weston, Clark
County, Wis. She was united in marriage to August Wegner of Pine
Valley, Clark County, in 1883, and they have since lived on their
farm in that town. To them were born four children: Mrs. Aleada
Adams, living on the home farm in Pine Valley; Mrs. Olgina Gluch,
residing in the town of Grant; Mrs. Elsie Stelloh of Neillsville
and Arthur Wegner residing in the town of Seif. She leaves also 12
grandchildren, 6 brothers and one sister. Mrs. Wegner was a woman
of the domestic type. She came here as a young girl when the
country was new and in her parent's home and later in her own home,
performed the duties that fell to the lot of women in pioneer
times. This work for her home and family and for those in the
neighborhood, who needed help, was well and faithfully done. The
influence of her life and such as hers will long be felt in this
community. The funeral was
held at the Pine Valley Lutheran Church on Monday, Rev. Reiff
