Bartz, Frederick (Apr 1832 - 29 Dec 1924)

Frederick Bartz, well known as Grandpa Bartz, died at 4 o'clock a.m. Monday, Dec. 29th, 1924, at the home of his son, William Bartz, in the Village of Granton, Clark County, Wis. Grandpa Bartz reached the advanced age of 92 years in April 1924. He was born in Germany and came to this country in 1868, settling first at Manitowoc. He has been a resident of Clark County for the past 20 years, making his home with his son William. He was a man who was highly respected by all who knew him. He is survived by two children, William of Granton and Minnie, Mrs. Bahn, who lives in Pasadena, Calif. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:30 at the house, and at the Maple Works Lutheran Church. Rev. Hasz, the pastor, will officiate. Burial will take place at Brillion, Wis.
