DEATH OF MISS NETTIE URE
Nettie Ure died at the old Ure home in town of Lynn March 24, 1925, aged 68 years, one month and 17 days. She was born in Chicago February 7, 1857. When about five years old she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Ure, Sr. to the town of Lynn, where they settled in the wilderness on the land which was gradually developed into a fine farm, and where deceased lived the remainder of her life. After her parents’ death her brother John Ure and family remained in possession of the farm and she made her home with them. In early life she had severe a illness which left her partial invalid all her life, but she was patient sufferer, and will be greatly missed in the home.
She is survived by her two brothers John, farmer, of Lynn and George A., Clerk of Circuit Court, Neillsville; her nieces, Mayme, Mrs. Col. Larsen of St. Paul, Gladys, teacher in the home school at Lynn, Marion, who remained at home with her, Vera, Mrs. Elmer Meacham of Ripon, Vivian, Mrs. Milton Page of Neillsville; her nephews, Ray, of Fremont; John Jr., living on the home place, and Melvin, student at Ripon College.
The funeral was held at the home Friday, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating, burial taking place at Lynn Cemetery.
