Kupke, Anna (3 March 1848 - 23 March 1925)
Mrs. Cark Kupke, one of the old residents of the town of York died at her home near the County Farm march 23, 1925, aged 77 years. Mrs. Kupke was born Anna Gabriel, in Schlesien, Germany, march 3, 1848. She was married to Cark Kupke in 1873. They came to America in 1883, and in 1889, bought the home farm where they have lived ever since.
Her health failed about two years ago. Her death was due mostly to old age. She leaves her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Gustav Reich of Romadke and Mrs. Frank Marg of Pine Valley, and one son Carl at home. One son, Ernest, died in infancy. She leaves also 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and an aged brother.
Mrs. Kupke was an industrious woman who devoted her life to the comfort of her home and in helping those about her. The funeral was held Thursday, March 26, Rev. D. Grether officiating, burial taking place in Neillsville Cemetery.
