Skar, Gudrun (18 JUN 1924)

Last week the two teachers of the Romadka school during the past year were lost to the teaching force of this county by their respective marriages. Miss Gudrun Skar, who was principal was united in marriage with Mr. Walter Trimberger of Granton, Clark County, Wis.. The marriage took place at the parsonage of the Scandinavian Lutheran Minister at Rice Lake, on June 18, 1924, Rev. J. E. Nord, the pastor, officiating. Miss Thonette Skar, sister of the bride an also one of our Clark County teachers, was bridesmaid and her brother, Thornwald Skar was groomsman. The groom is an energetic and successful young farmer and a man of high intelligence and character. The bride as principal of the Romadka School has made a wide circle of warm friends and admirers in the community, who will be pleased to have her as permanent resident in the vicinity, as they will reside on the groom's farm at Granton.

Miss Nelda Drescher, primary teacher at Romadka the past years, and Mr. Henry Schlinsog were married on June 24, 1924 at Zion's Evangelical Parsonage at Marshfield, Rev. G. E. Zillman, pastor, officiating. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schlinsog.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Bernard Drescher of the town of Fremont. She made a fine record as a teacher and is a young lady of very fine personality. The groom is an active young farmer who stands well in the community.
