NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 07/17/1924 Guke, Elsie (9 JUL
1924) On Wednesday
afternoon, July 9th, 1924, the Fremont Lutheran Church was the
scene of a very pretty double wedding, at which Mr. Ralph M.
Johnson and Miss Amanda Guke were united in in marriage, and Mr.
Erland Engstrom and Miss Elsie Guke were made man and wife. The
ceremony was performed by Rev. Koch. The two couple were attended
by Mr. and Mrs. George Engstrom, Mr. George Johnson and Miss
Adeline Guke. The brides were
both dressed in white; Mrs. George Engstrom in blue and Miss
Adeline Guke in pink. A very large
number of friends and relatives were in attendance at the church,
and also at the reception given later at the home of the brides'
parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Guke, in the town of Fremont, Clark
County, Wis. The two bride have
lived all their lives at home, except for occasional visits to the
home of their married sister at Woodstock, Ill., where both of the
bridegrooms lived. They are young ladies of rare excellence and
fine personality. The bridegrooms are to a considerable extent
strangers here, but are highly regarded by those who know them. Both couples plan
on making their homes in Chicago in the near future. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
