NOV 1924) Mr. Floyd Bender
and Miss Elsie Small were united in marriage on Thursday evening,
Nov. 6, 1924, at Granton, Clark County, Wis., Rev. Wilson Mallory
officiating. The groom is the son of Logan Bender of the town of
Washburn, Clark County. He grew to manhood on his father's farm. He
went west and spent about two and a half years in California and
Oregon, returning recently tot he parental home. He is a fine young
man, intelligent and enterprising and of upright character. The
bride comes from Santa Rosa, Calif., where the groom met her while
in the west. She is a graduate nurse and has won the esteem of all
who have met her. Monday night a
large number of the friends of the bride and groom assemble at the
town hall in Washburn and gave them a fine shower. The hall was
filled with those who came to show their esteem for the young
couple and give them a glad welcome. Many beautiful presents were
given. They will make
their home on the Bender farm, which the groom will assist in
