Reburial Rites Held at Snelling for Humbird GI

The remains of Pvt. George F. Jenswold have been returned from the Limey-Toul temporary military cemetery in France and interred in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota. His mother, Mrs. Fred Jenswold of Humbird, Clark County, Wis., and his brother, the Rev. Walter Jenswold of Westby, Wis., attended the ceremonies. His father and one other brother and Pvt. Jenswold all died in the space of one year.

He enlisted in the army in Oct. 1940 and was part of a body of ski-troopers. He was killed in action in France on Sept. 20, 1944. Memorial services were held for him here in the Methodist Church on Nov. 5, 1944.
