Mr. Otto J. Alstot was born in Louisa County, Iowa, April 19, 1866. He was married to Miss Hattie Oliver Dec. 22, 1897. To them were born six children, two of whom died in infancy. Six years ago, Mr. Alstot purchased the Zigfinski farm in the vicinity of Neillsville; where he with the family has since resided. On July 9, while working in the hayfield he received a slight stroke of apoplexy. In a short time another stroke resulted in his death. There remain to mourn his departure, his wife, three sons, Otto, Floyd, and Ralph, and one daughter Lucile, also one brother, Charles Alstot in California, besides many other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held at the M. E. Church of Neillsville, Rev. A. E. Knaach of Granton, a friend of the deceased, and his family, performed the last religious rites, and the body was interred in the Neillsville Cemetery, on Sunday, July 12.
