Lambert, Mary (26 July 1860 - *25 July 1925)* could be off

This community was greatly shocked and grieved Saturday evening when Mrs. Mary Lambert fell while walking on the street in Neillsville and died almost instantly. Her death came without warning, her health having been as good as usual, and the greeted friends as she met them along the street a few moments before her death, with her usual cheerfulness.

Mary A. Hays was born at Dakota, Illinois, July 26, 1860, making her 65 years of age at the time of her death.

She was married to Lorenzo P. Lambert in 1880. They moved to Clark County in 1903, purchasing a farm in the town of Loyal. They lived here until Mr. Lambert’s death in 1917, when she came to Neillsville with her son Hays and established their home here. She was a quiet home-loving lady, but made friends with all whom she met. She was a member of the M. E. Church, with which she united when a girl, and lived a sincere Christian life. She is survived by two sons, Hays of this city, and Ray who lives in Minnesota.

Funeral services were held at the home Monday, Rev. Wm. Walder officiating, the choir consisting of Mrs. Walder, Miss Elsie King and Mrs. H. O. Huckstead. The remains were taken to Dakota, Ill., for burial in the family cemetery lot.
