Isenberger, David A. (10 Nov 1934 – 20 Mar 2022)

David A. Isenberger, 87, of Stanley, died on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Sacred Heart Hospital-Eau Claire. He was born on November 10, 1934, in Decorah, Iowa the son of the late Paul and Lois (Manley) Isenberger. Dave grew up in Iowa, Seattle, Washington and later Stanley. He graduated from Stanley High School Class of 1953.

Dave married Carolyn "Kaki" Samuelson on July 10, 1954, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church- Stanley. He Farmed with Kaki from 1955 - 1983 when he sold the farm to Jim and Julie Seidl. He was then Field Man at Blue Moon in Thorp for 20 years. Dave started Isenberger Trucking in 1982 and also crop farmed. In his younger years he enjoyed many motorcycle trips and his vintage cars. The last few years were spent vacationing in his motorhome to Alaska and out west to see the mountains.

He is survived by his special friend, Dorothy Fredrickson; his son Jim (Lynn) Isenberger of Stanley; grandchildren: Tracey (Todd) Lindner, Kristie (Joel) Peterson, Josh (Toni) Seidl, Jami (Andy) Haas, Kara (Alan) Yeager and Sam Isenberger; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Russ (Ruth) Isenberger of Stanley. Dave is preceded in death by his parents; wife Carolyn; daughter Julie; a brother, Frank; and a sister Bonna Bergman.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service, inurnment will take place at a later date in the East Side Cemetery.
