Miller, William E “Butch” (31 Oct 1938 – 11 Mar 2022)

William E. "Butch" Miller, Little Chute, died Friday, March 11, 2022, at the age of 83. He was born in Thorp to the late John and Claira (Baumgartner) Miller on October 31, 1938. Butch married Nancy Bergman at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church on June 17, 1961. He worked as a Tow Motor Driver for U.S. Paper out of Menasha until his retirement. In his younger years, Butch enjoyed hunting and camping. He also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and squirrels and visiting his friend Nubs where they watched deer and played cards. His greatest joy was having the whole family together.

Butch is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy; his children: Terri (Dan Locy) Nelson, of Little Chute; Sue (Gary) Keen, of Appleton; and Bob Miller, of Peshtigo; his grandchildren: David (Tiffany) Nelson, Maggie (Sean) Armstrong, and Becky (Sam) Schreiber; Nick (Desirea Kamke) and Mike Keen; and Kayla and Paige Miller; great grandchildren: Logan, Lauren, Kylie, Savannah, Elly, Ella, and Eli; sister, Ina Peterson; and siblings-in-law: Richard Heiting, Gerry Miller, Jo Ann Fox, Sandy Walker, and Mary Arnoldussen. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his grandson Kristopher Keen; his siblings: Orville Miller, Elizabeth (Edwin) Ricksford, Norbert (Jennette) Miller and Nina (Richard) Heiting; parents-in-law, John and Margaret Bergman; and brothers-in-law: Norbert Fox, Chuck Walker, and Dave Arnoldussen.

A funeral for Butch was held Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at O'Connell Funeral Home in Little Chute, with Deacon Bruce Corey officiating. Committal was at St. John Cemetery. To sign the guest book, please visit www.oconnellfh.com.
