Kubera, Judith Ann (23 June 1948 - 21 March 2022)
Judith Ann Kubera, 73, beloved mother/sister/friend, passed away of natural
causes on the twenty-first of March 2022 at her home in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
She is survived by her son, Chad Staniec of Fairchild, Wisconsin, and his three
beautiful children; her daughter, Michelle Leah Olson of Coral Springs, Florida;
and a large extended family.
Daughter of Andrew and Myrtle Kubera and from a family of eighteen that spent
most of their lives in Thorp, beginning in a converted cheese factory, there was
nothing cheesy about the way Judy attacked life. She loved with a love that was
more than love and had a passion for things that brought her joy that Marie
Kondo would likely find appalling.
If one were to look up Survivor in an alternate dictionary, they would likely
find a picture of Jude. Yet, despite her many struggles, she smiled—she
prevailed. She immersed herself in art, found peace in anything having to do
with animals, and surrounded herself with plants and music. She preferred the
night to the day and could often be found drawing, painting, or crafting long
into the wee hours of the morning…even in her last days.
While she often called herself an introvert, it was rare you found her alone.
Her magnetic personality and wit drew others, and her need to help and nurture
allowed her to make friends quickly, easily, and fiercely.
Per her wishes, there will be no service. Her son and daughter will lay her to
rest in the woods she loved to walk and the ocean she cherished and often
dreamed about, and ask that, in memoriam, donations be made to the World
Wildlife Fund in her honor to help conserve the threatened wildlife she so
adored.
Donations can be made at:

donation page. If you wish to send an eCard, you can use the email address:

For those who knew and loved her, please join her family in wishing her well as
she finally finds rest and peace in the ever after and wisdom on the next leg of
her journey.
