Walker, Charles Clinton (25 Dec. 1864 - 5 Sept. 1925)
Charles Clinton Walker passed away after a lingering illness Sept. 5, 1925. He was born at Port Deposit, Maryland, Dec. 25, 1864. He came to Neillsville with his mother and sister in 1876. While yet in his teens he went back east and began work as an electrician in which he became an expert. At one time he electrician in the forts of Boston, and later was Superintendent of the Berkshire Electric Co. of North Adam, Mass. About ten years ago his health failed and he was unable to work.
He was an occasional visitor here and in 1891 was married to Mary E. Lynch of this city. To this union a son and daughter were born.
The remains were brought here for burial, which took place Sunday afternoon, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
