WILLARD YOUTH KILLED IN CHICAGO
John Klanchar, the nineteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Klanchar of near Willard, was accidentally killed in Chicago Friday. Frank had gone to Chicago about a mouth ago to work in a factory. He was on an elevator at the factory and was leaning over the elevator gate as it was going up. His head was caught between the gate and upper floor and he was instantly killed.
His body was brought home Saturday. Funeral services were held Monday morning in Holy Family Church where solemn services were conducted for the deceased. The different societies participated at the funeral, which was one of the largest Willard ever witnessed. The body was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery at Willard. Greenwood Gleaner.
