Suckow, Veletta (Marriage - 12 Aug. 1925)

It was a pleasure to Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Suckow of Pleasant Ridge to give their only daughter, Viletta, in marriage to Mr. Victor Smith on August 12.

They were quietly married at the Congregational parsonage in Neillsville, Wis., at 11 a.m., Rev. Longenecker officiating, and were attended by Miss Ruby Eisentraut and Mr. Francis Suckow, brother of the bride, after which they returned to the bride’s home and were served a very bountiful repast.

Covers were laid for ten, the table was adorned with a beautiful bride’s cake which made it very pretty. The bride wore a dress of silk crepe Oakwood color, trim mined with gold lace and a touch of black. They marched in to the music of "Here Come the Bride".

Mrs. Smith was one of our prominent girls in the community. A graduate of Greenwood High School; studied one year at Medford Training School for Public School work. She taught five years in our public schools and was very successful.

Mr. Smith was from Withee and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Smith of Ableman, Wis., and a brother Edward Smith of Withee, Wis. He has been known here about six years and is a very fine young man. He studied Auto Electrical Engineering in Kansas City and is now Manager for the Gary Garage and Sales Co., Gary, Indiana.

He has just had built a new home in Gary where after a short trip to Northern Wisconsin and Northern Michigan they will return to Gary and began their new life.
