Reisner, Laura (Marriage - 16 Sept. 1925)
A very pretty wedding took place at Zion’s Lutheran Church, Maple Works, at 4 o’clock Wednesday Sept. 16, when Mr. Rudolph Sternitzky was united in the bonds of matrimony with Miss Laura Reisner, Rev. Martens officiating.
The wedding march was played by Miss Esther Panier, the church organist. Six young ladies dressed in white, carrying daisies, formed an arch, the two ushers led the way, followed by the bridal party. The groom was attended by Mr. Oscar Reisner, brother of the bride and Mr. Emery Albrecht a close friend of the groom. The bridesmaids were Miss Leona Gotter and Miss Charlotte Reiff. At the altar the bride was given away by her father, Mr. Chas. Reisner.
The bride was dressed in white canton crepe, with veil, and carried a shower bouquet of roses and smilax; Miss Gotter wore pale green crepe de chine and Miss Reiff old rose crepe de chine, and both wore corsage bouquets. The groom and best man wore conventional suits of blue serge.
At six o’clock a bountiful supper served at the home of the bride’s parents, more than 125 guests being in attendance. The rooms were decorated in white, pink and green, and the table was a profusion of flowers. The six young ladies in white acted as waitresses.
In the evening the bride and groom drove to Marshfield where they took the train for a wedding trip to Duluth and other points in the North.
The groom is the son of Albert Sternitzky of Lynn, where he was born and brought up on his father’s farm. For several years he has been farming for himself on his own place in the town of Lynn and is industrious and energetic. He is a young man of excellent character and has the respect of all who know him. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Reisner of the same town. She has always lived at home and has been a most dutiful and helpful daughter. She is well qualified to take charge of her new home. The Press joins with a host of their friends in wishing this couple a happy and successful life.

Hi Crystal,
That is a very interesting biography you sent about the Rudolph and Laura wedding. Rudolph was the brother of my grandfather Alvin Sternitzky. Thanks, Jim
