Handke, Clara (Marriage - 14 Oct. 1925)
A very pretty wedding took place at the residence of Rev. Martin on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 2 o’clock, when Mr. Fred Bartsch was united in the bonds of matrimony with Miss Clara Handke.
The groom was attended by Mr. Walter Reidel a close friend.
The bridesmaid was Edna Kier a cousin of the bride. The bride was dressed in navy poiret twill and carried a shower bouquet of carnations and rose buds.
Miss Kier wore an orange silk dress. The groom wore a blue suit while that of the best man was a brown one.
At six o’clock a bountiful supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents, where more than 65 guests were served. The rooms were decorated in yellow, white and blue. Mrs. Oscar Bartsch, Mrs. John Ure and Mrs. Ed. Reidel acted as waitresses.
The groom is the son of Elizabeth Bartsch of Fremont, where he was born and brought up on his mother’s farm. He is a young man of excellent character and is respected by all who know him.
The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Handke of Lynn and she is well qualified to take charge of her new home. She is will liked by all who have made her acquaintance. They will live on his mother’s farm which he has rented.
We all join in wishing them a happy and successful life.
