Pollnow, Ruth (Marriage - 16 Sept. 1925)
This community had a happy surprise last week when the announcement was made that Mr. Arnold Yankee and Miss Ruth Pollnow were married Sept. 16, 1925, at Galena, Illinois. The marriage took place at the Methodist parsonage there, and the bride and groom were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Martin Risie.
The groom is the son of Herman Yankee. He was born in Neillsville, grew to manhood here, attended Neillsville High School , and served in the army in the World War. For some time he has been the carrier on Rural Route No. 4 and is deservedly popular not only with his patrons but with everyone who knows him.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Pollnow of the town of Hewett. She has always lived at home, and is a young lady of very fine personality. She has a most excellent home training and is well qualified to take charge of a home of own. The young people are now keeping house in the groom’s home in this city.
We wish them the very best there is in life.
