JUL 1850 - 4 NOV 1926) Carl Roehl passed
away at his home in Granton, Clark County, Wis. early Sunday
morning after a lingering illness. Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Roehl was
born in Pomerania, Germany, July 21, 1850. Here he was baptized and
confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1874 he was married to Emilie
Schmidt. Six years later he came to this country with his wife and
small children and settled at Milford, Wis. In 1906 the family
moved to Granton, where he has lived since. Besides his wife
he leaves six children, Augusta, Mrs. Mueller of Marshfield; Anna,
Mrs. Ziebell of Neillsville; Ida, Mrs. Doschadis of Columbus, Wis.;
Herman in the town of Fremont; William in the town of York, and
Frank in Granton. Funeral services
were conducted Wednesday afternoon from Zion Lutheran Church by
Rev. Theo. D. Martens. Burial was made in the adjacent
