Dorst, Jennie (26 JUN 1872 - 18 Feb 1927)

Mrs. Mike Dorst passed away at her home north of Granton, Clark County, Wis. Feb. 18, 1927, after a few days' illness from pneumonia. Jennie Clement Dorst was born June 26, 1872. She was married to Mike Dorst August 30, 1894. They settled at Sheboygan, where they lived for 13 years, coming to Clark County in 1907. They bought a farm in the town of York, which remained their home until her death.

Mrs. Dorst was a member of the Christian Church and by her daily life showed forth her faith. She was an untiring worker for the upbuilding of good things in the community, putting her whole soul into her efforts for the betterment of the community. For many years she was secretary of the W. W. Club. In her passing the family lost a devoted mother and the community a good friend and neighbor.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon. She was laid to rest in Windfall Cemetery, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating. The pallbearers were G. Bergeman, F. Tyler, F. Bartz, L. Schroeder, B. Hayden and O. Montgomery.
