Lachman, formerly a resident of the town of Grant, Clark County,
Wis., passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Lowe,
in Duluth, Minn., on March 17, 1927, at the age of 89 years, death
being due to old age. Beatrice Handke
Lachman was born in Carmine, Germany, Feb. 23, 1838, and was
married to William Lachman July 22, 1860. Mr. and Mrs. Lachman,
with their three children, came to America in 1873, settling on a
farm in the town of Grant. Her husband passed away in 1901. She was a member
of Zion Lutheran Church, where her funeral services were held on
Saturday, March 19th, Rev. Reiff officiating. She leaves
surviving her two daughters, Miss Nellie Lachman and Mrs. Charles
Lowe, both of Duluth, Minn., and one son, Emil Lachman, residing in
the town of Grant, also three grandchildren and one
