Schwellenbach, one of the early settlers of West Weston, Clark
County, Wis., died at his home in that town on April 6, 1927, at
the age of 71 years. He was born in Jefferson Co., Wis., April 30,
1856, and grew to manhood there. About 45 years ago he came to
Clark County and settled in the town of Weston. Shortly after, he
was married to Rosa Prock. To them were born one daughter, who
died, and two sons who survive, William of Neillsville and Joseph
of Wilton. About five years after their marriage his wife died, and
later Mr. Schwellenbach was married to Amelia Beyer. To them were
born four children: Roland and Earl on the home farm, Mrs. Anton
Spangler of Loyal and Margaret Schwellenbach at home. Their mother
died about seven years ago. Besides the children named above, he
leaves six grandchildren, one brother, Roland Schwellenbach and one
sister, Mrs. Mary Prock of Neillsville. Mr. Schwellenbach
was an industrious, upright man. He had many misfortunes in life,
but faced them bravely and patiently. He was a kind husband and
father and a good neighbor. The funeral was
held Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville, Rev.
Father Weber officiating. Pallbearers were Bruno Henschen, Theo
