NEILLSVILLE PRESS (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 04/14/1927 Malamphy, Patrick
(17 Mar 1849 - 9 Apr 1927) Patrick Malamphy,
one of the older residents of this city (Neillsville, Clark County,
Wis.), died at his home, Saturday, April 9, 1927. Mr. Malamphy was
born in Ireland, March 17, 1849, and came to this country when
about 18 years of age. He was employed by the Omaha Railroad Co. as
section foreman for about 32 years, and was retired on a pension 14
years ago. About a year ago he was seriously wounded while fishing
by by the river, from a shot fired by some unknown person, and
since that time his health has been gradually failing. He was married to
Mary Cronin at Lyndon, Wis. To this union were born 6 children:
Nellie and Dan at home, Edward, who lives at Mellen, Wis., and
William, John and Charles deceased. Mr. Malamphy was a
genial, pleasant man, whose quaint manner of expressing his ideas
and his shrewd remarks made him an interesting man to meet. He will
be much missed by all who knew him. The funeral was
held Tuesday at the home, Rev. Father Weber officiating. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
